How much is in the jar ?
There are 100 $ in the jar, in coins.
My PURPLE question:
If you share the $100 with 10 people, how much does everyone get ?
Each person would get $10. If you divide 100 into 10 you get 10. ( 100/10=10)
PART 2
How full is the jar using Canadian coins ?
Well the jar is filled up about 3/4 of American coins. (1350 coins all together.) And we know that in Canadian coins there are 370 coins. Since we have loonies and toonies, and we ask for 100 $ in coins, it will be a lot less coins than American. If we put the 370 coins ( 100 $ ) in the same jar, I'd estimate it'd be a little over 1/4 of the jar. If you calculate 1350 / 4= 337.5 & 1350/3=450 . Somewhere in between you'd find 370, so that's why I said the coins would fill little over 1/4 of the jar.
How high are the stacks of coins ?
( because of ELIJAH we had to do this! )
1 cent = 2mm
2mm x 50 = 100mm
5 cents = 3mm
3mm x 40 = 120mm
10 cents = 1mm
1mm x 50 = 50mm
25 cents = 2mm
2mm x 40 = 80mm
1 dollar = 3mm
3mm x 25 = 75mm
2 dollars = 3mm
3mm x 25 = 75mm
