Shania's Four4's - October 13, 2009

Four4's

Question : Explain how 4/4 is the same as 4÷4 .

Answer :
The symbols "/" and "÷" both mean division. The symbol "/" is most used with fractions. Division is a big part in fractions so i guess its why its okay to use "/" when dividing numbers. The other symbol "÷" is just the more common and it means the same thing as the other symbol.

I think they both mean the same thing, just different ways of showing division.
