Emmanuels Scribepost Question 15 October 18

Question 15:

Diana and John are making three-cheese lasagna. The recipe calls for 100 g of Romano, 300g of Mozzarella, and 250g of Cottage Cheese.

a) Write a ratio in lowest terms to compare the amounts of the three cheeses. State the order of the cheeses.

Answer:
2:5:6
Romano to Mozzarella to Cottage Cheese
I got that in lowest terms, because thats how many times 50 goes into each of the numbers. I ordered it like that, because it's in ascending order.

b) What amounts of Romano and cottage cheese do you need to make lasagna that contains 900g of mozzarella cheese?
Hint: Use equivalentt ratios to help you.

Answer:
300:900:750
Romano to Mozzarella to Cottage
I multiplied the orginal number of grams by 3.
