Aldrine's Scribepost For october 9, 09

Today's assignment was to answer one purple question and one of your choice.
How many coins are in the jar?
There are $100 dollars in the jar, pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters in U.S dollars.
if the jar was filled with Canadian money. would you need more coins?
no it would be the same because U.S coins and Canadian coins are the same size so you don't need more coins if its in Canadian coins.
would the jar weigh the same if there were $100 Canadian in coins in the jar?
yea it would be the same because U.S coins and Canadian coins are the same size so they must be the same weigh.
How High Are The Stacks Of Coins?
1 cent = 2mm
2mm x 50 = 100mm
5 cents = 3mm
3mm x 40 = 120mm
10 cents = 1mm
1mm x 50 = 50mm
25 cents = 2mm
2mm x 40 = 80mm
1 dollar = 3mm
3mm x 25 = 75mm
2 dollars = 3mm
3mm x 25 = 75mm
