One day me and my friends were walking to school . We saw a big green light from the neighbourhood and we went to check it out . The green light flashed us in the eyes and we noticed that the big green light was a spaceship . There were someone inside the spaceship , they were this small people in some weird form creation and they came down to tell us " WE DON'T COME IN PEACE , WE ARE HERE TO DESTROY YOUR PLANET , the only thing that will stop us to destroy your planet is by answering this 3 proportion problems correctly and if you do , will leave and never come back again . " We decided to do what they say and answer the questions correctly . As the day went on the aliens asked us the questions , the first one was:
" A small gear turns 18 times in the same time that a large gear turns 4 times. How many times will the large gear turn if the small gear turns 54 times? Draw a diagram to help set up a proportion and solve the problem. "
Michelle and Sierra quickly answered the question and their answer was " The large gear will turn 12 times if the small gear turn 54 times. "
The second question was : " Two quarters have the same value as ten nickels. What is the value of five quarters in nickels? "
Princess and Kamille answered the question , their answer was " The value of 5 quarters is 25 nickels ."
The last question that they asked was : " Delia was paid $35 for 5 h of babysitting. How much should she receive for 3 h? Use a unit rate to find the answer. "Me and Elijah gave out our answer : " Delia should receive $21 for 3 hours . "
The aliens were amazed how incredibly fast we answered those question they gave us . Now that we finished answering the questions correctly , the aliens are never coming back again and they went off to their own planet and we saved THE PLANET EARTH !
