Find the height of the pole where the guy wire is attached, to the nearest tenth of a metre.

c² - b² = a²

10² - 2² = a²
(10x10) - (2x2) = a²

100 - 4 = a²

96 = a²

√­­­­­­­­­­­¯96 = √­­­­­­­­­­­¯ a²
9.8 = a

The height of the pole is 9.8 metres.
