Surface Area Growing Post

-Rectangular Prism find the Surface Area

A=l x w
A=8 x 4
A=32 cm2
A=l x w
A=3 x 4
A= 12cm 2

A=l x w
A=8 x 3
A=24 cm2

TSA= 32+32+12+12+24+24
TSA=136cm2 (squared centimetre) Not Centimetre squared

Traingular Prism

A=l x w
A=9 x 4
A=36 cm 2

A=l x w
A=8 x 4
A=32 cm2

A=B x H/
A=8 x 5/2
A=40/2
A=20 cm2
TSA=20+20+20+36+32
TSA=128 cm2

Cylinder

Now here to find the surface area, im going to use a different formula that is very easy for me instead of find all the sides and it takes too long. This formula that i will use is very simple the formula is 2 x pi x r2 +(pi x d x h). First if you were given a Diameter you need to find the Radius if you were given the Radius you need to find the Diameter. So i need to find the Radius
R= d/2
R=6/2
R=3cm
multiply the 3 to its self
3x3=9
Formula
TSA =2 x pi x r2 + (pi x d x h)
TSA=2 x 3.14 x 9 + (3.14 x 6 x 8)
TSA=207.24 cm 2
