Surface Area Growing Post

Rectangular Prism:

A = l x w
A= 8 x 4
A = 32 cm2

A = l x w
A = 3 x 4
A = 12 cm2

A = l x w
A = 8 x 3
A = 24 cm2

TSA = 32 + 32 + 12 + 12 + 24 + 24
TSA = 136 cm2 ( squared centimetres :D )

Triangular Prism :

A = b x h / 2
A = 7 x 5 / 2
A = 17.5 cm2

A = l x w
A = 5 x 2
A = 10 cm2

A = l x w
A = 2 x 6
A = 12 cm2

A = l x w
A = 2 x 6
A = 12 cm2

TSA = 10 + 12 + 12 + 17.5 + 17.5
TSA = 69 cm2

Cylinder :

Okay if you are given diameter you can first find the radius.

d / 2 = r
12 / 2 = 6 cm2

A = 2 x pi x r2 ( squared )
A = 2 x 3.14 x 6 x 6
A = 226.08 cm2

A = pi x d x h
A = 3.14 x 12 x 6
A = 226.08 cm2

TSA = 226.08 + 226.08
TSA = 452.16 cm2

That is how you find the surface areas of a rectangular prism, triangular prism, and a cylinder.

OKAY BYE GUYS SEE YOU TOMO :D
