How is 4/4 the same as 4 divided by 4 (sorry I don"t have thew symbol on my keypad).
The slash thing symbol "/" means to divide but its also means fractions and also means out of.
The divide by sign also means to divide. So pretty much There just both the same thing but you can use them in different ways.

Heeey everyone... The homework that Harbeck and Backe gave us for today is pretty simple.
Here's the question...
How is 4/4+4/4=2 the same as 4÷4+4÷4=2 ?
As you can see, 4/4 is a fraction and since theres 4 pieces out of four pieces, it equals 1 whole. The dividing line, " / " is the same as the dividing sign, " ÷ " its just that they are different symbols representing the same information.

Today in class, Mr. Harbeck and Mr. Bache told us to explain this, Why is 4/4 + 4/4 = 2 and 4÷4 +4÷4 = 2 the same?
My thoughts are '/' is just another symbol for '÷'. If you do the equations, it will be the same answer. 4/4 is a fraction which equals one whole, so 4/4 + 4/4 = 2. The other one is saying the same thing but its not like a fraction you have to divide four by four which equals one.
Basically they're the same but in different form.

?In my opinion they are the SAME!!
I think that they are the same, because fractions are the same things as dividing.
eg. 1(over)4=25%/0.25 and 1/4=0.25
Another reason that they are the same, is that 4 (over) 4 equals 1 whole, because having four quarters of something split in four, you have the whole thing. While 4/4 equals 1!!
And that is my reason of why they are both the same.
